Inquest into death of three-month-old baby girl due to take place in the new year

An inquest into the death of a three-month-old baby girl is due to take place in the new year.

Rosie Ladchenkho was born on November 14, 2018.

She died three months later at Stepping Hill Hospital, in Stockport, on February 17, 2019.

A serious case review into the baby’s death is being carried out by Stockport Borough Council.

During a pre-inquest review at Stockport Coroner’s Court on Thursday (September 24), senior coroner Alison Mutch outlined some details of the case.

The court heard that an investigation carried out by Greater Manchester Police had concluded with no further action to be taken in relation to the baby’s death.

Stockport Council’s safeguarding board has commissioned a serious case review into the circumstances surrounding Rosie’s death “to understand if there are any lessons that can be learned”, the coroner said.

A further pre-inquest review is due to take place on December 11.

A full inquest has been scheduled to take place on April 29, 2021.
