Silence broken on innocent lorry driver injured in horror wrong-way fatal crash

The lorry driver injured in the N7 crash that cost the lives of three criminals has been discharged from hospital, it has emerged.

It had been thought the innocent trucker – who was driving his vehicle when Carl Freeman, Graham Taylor and Dean Maguire slammed into it in on July 7 – had been seriously injured.

But sources revealed he was discharged from hospital within a matter of hours of the incident – and was able to walk unaided.

They said: “He has made a full recovery and his injuries were not as bad as initially thought.”

News of the driver’s recovery comes ahead of today’s final funeral service for the three men killed.
