Innocent returned this week with a second series on ITV.
The new four-part series opened with Sally in the dock of Carlisle Crown Court, steely and determined to prove her innocence and that she’s been the victim of a terrible miscarriage of justice.
As she waits for the jury to deliver on her appeal, Sally contemplated how she'd lost everything she held dear.

Her relationship, home and marriage to a probation officer, Sam, her job as Head of English at a local comprehensive, her status and good name in the community, and personal contact with her ageing mother who now lives in a care home.
Many viewers recognised Sally as Katherine Kelly.
Katherine is best known for her role as Becky McDonald in the ITV soap Coronation Street.
She also played Lady Mae in the ITV drama series Mr Selfridge.
Jamie Bamber best known for Marcella, Strike Back, NCIS, Law & Order UK plays Sally’s husband Sam.
Also in the series is Priyanga Burford (Industry, Press, Avenue 5, W1A), Shaun Dooley (It's A Sin, The Stranger, Gentleman Jack, Jamestown), Amy-Leigh Hickman (Our Girl, Ackley Bridge, Safe) and Lucy Black (Gentleman Jack, The Durrells).
