Innocent cast as ITV air chilling murder drama over four consecutive nights

If you're struggling to decide on something to watch this week, haven't got Netflix or run out of recordings on your planner, ITV might have the answer in the shape of Innocent.

The four-parter is centred around David, who's served seven years in prison for the murder of his wife Tara and is desperate to convince people he didn't commit the crime after unexpectedly being acquitted.

If that rings a bell with you, Innocent is a repeat, having first being broadcast on ITV in May 2018.

Innocent was produced by Jeremy Gwilt and co-executive produced by Jeremy Gwilt (Maigret Sets a Trap, Maigret’s Dead Man, Foyle’s War, Torn) Chris Lang (Unforgotten, Undeniable, A Mother’s Son) and Matt Arlidge (Undeniable, The Little House, Mistresses).

Teasing the drama back in 2016, ITV’s Controller of Drama Victoria Fea said: “Innocent is a contemporary relationship drama with a thriller pulse.

“Chris and Matt’s scripts have created an intense web of characters with interwoven lives – with a seemingly ordinary husband and father at its heart.”

Hermione Norris - Alice Moffatt
