INLA targeted in PSNI operation that sees suspected Class A and "large quantity of prescription medication" seized

Police targeting the INLA have “seized suspected class A drugs and a large quantity of prescription medication”, they say.

Detectives from PSNI Paramilitary Crime Task Force lifted the material “following proactive searches in West Belfast on Friday 4th September”.

Detective Inspector Hamilton said: “These searches are further evidence that PCTF are proactively investigating drugs criminality linked to INLA in west Belfast.

“We continue to target those criminals who are involved in the sale and supply of illegal drugs and will aim to disrupt their activities at every opportunity. I would encourage members of the community who may have information that could assist our efforts to tackle the blight of drugs, to please get in touch. You can call 101, or you can submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.”

They added that witnesses can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
