Injury Update: TE Vernon Davis back at practice, LT Donald Penn absent

The Redskins have opened up practice to the media for the first time this week, and interim head coach Bill Callahan’s new regime is in order. Ahead of Sunday’s game against the winless Miami Dolphins, there are still several players banged up and not practicing for the Redskins.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, QB Case Keenum is expected to be named the starter for Sunday if his foot is fully healed, and his practicing on Wednesday is a good indication that he will be good to go. Tight end Vernon Davis was also back on the field for the start of stretching, after missing some time with a concussion. On the same not, TE Jordan Reed was nowhere to be found as he still deals with a concussion suffered in the preseason.

Several offensive linemen continue to be banged up, with Wes Martin, Donald Penn, and Ross Pierschbacher all missing practice.
