Late in the first quarter, right guard Brandon Scherff went down with an ankle injury, and he has been listed as questionable to return to the game.
The injury came on an interesting play when quarterback Case Keenum got hit in the pocket and fumbled the ball. After the play, the Bears were flagged for illegal hands to the face, allowing Washington to keep the ball. It appeared that LG Ereck Flowers pancaked his assignment, who then fell into Scherff’s leg.
In at right guard now is Tony Bergstrom. With rookie lineman Wes Martin and Ross Pierschbacher both inactive, the Redskins only have seven active linemen suited up on Monday.
