Injury Report: Warriors’ Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist) to come off bench in return from injury vs. Sixers, Steph Curry (ankle) available

Following a five-game absence from the Golden State Warriors rotation due to a wrist injury after a brutal fall against the Washington Wizards, Kelly Oubre Jr. is set to make his return on Monday night.

However, Oubre Jr. will come off the bench on Monday against the eastern-conference leading Philadelphia 76ers. Averaging 15.3 points on 43.9% shooting from the floor with 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 50 games as Golden State’s starting wing, Oubre Jr. could provide a spark for the second unit against the Sixers.

With Oubre Jr. coming off the bench, Steve Kerr is opting to leave Kent Bazemore in the starting lineup. The veteran guard has started Golden State’s last five games, averaging 11.8 points on 48.9% shooting from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. With Bazemore as a starter in the backcourt, the Warriors have a 4-2 record on the season.

After initially being ruled as questionable against the Sixers, Steph Curry will be available to play on Monday. The seven-time All-Star guard rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics on Saturday evening.

Curry is amid a scorching streak, tallying 32 points or more in 10 consecutive contests. During his fiery 10 game stretch, the Warriors point guard is averaging 39.1 points on 54.6% shooting from the floor. Prior to Monday’s contest, Curry was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week.

The Warriors will tip-off against the Sixers at 4:30 p.m. PT on Monday.
