Injury Report: Warriors’ Juan Toscano-Anderson enters league’s concussion protocol after fierce hustle play vs. Celtics

While Steph Curry has rightfully claimed headlines with his scorching performances during the Golden State Warriors season-best four-game winning streak, Juan Toscano-Anderson deserves some credit.

During Saturday’s thrilling contest between the Celtics and Warriors, Toscano-Anderson sold out for an impact play.

With Boston gripping to a one-point lead with under six minutes remaining, Toscano-Anderson laid out for a loose ball near the sidelined that caused him to take a brutal tumble over the scorer’s table. Curry capitalized on Toscano-Anderson’s fierce hustle play by hitting a 3-pointer seconds later.

The Oakland native is coming off a career-high 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor with seven rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal in 31 minutes off the bench in Golden State’s 119-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

During Golden State’s winning streak, Toscano-Anderson is averaging 9.0 points on 74.7% shooting from the floor with four boards and 3.3 assists in 22.8 minutes per contest.

Toscano-Anderson will need to pass through the league’s concussion protocol before returning to Golden State’s rotation. The Warriors will have Sunday off before meeting the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
