Injury Report: Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins (knee) questionable vs. Pelicans on Monday

On Monday, the Golden State Warriors could be without a key piece to start a back-to-back series against the New Orleans Pelicans. Andrew Wiggins has been listed as questionable against the Pelicans due to soreness in his right knee.

After playing in every game for the Warriors this season, the former No. 1 overall pick is in jeopardy of missing his first contest in a tilt with heavy postseason implications. The Pelicans currently sit two spots behind the Warriors in the Western Conference standings.

During the 2020-21 campaign, Wiggins has been consistent, averaging 18.1 points on 47.2% shooting from the field with 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 33.1 minutes per contest. The Kansas product has notched 20 or more points in Golden State’s previous two games.

With Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist), Damion Lee (health and safety protocol) and Eric Paschall (hip) already sidelined, the Warriors will need to get creative with their rotation if Wiggins is ruled out.
