Injury Report: Steph Curry (tailbone) returns to practice, questionable vs. Bulls on Monday

Heading into a tilt with the Chicago Bulls on Monday night at Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors are riding a four-game losing streak. A common theme during Golden State’s recent slide is the absence of Steph Curry.

During the Warriors’ victory over the Houston Rockets on March 17, Curry fell after backpedaling near the sideline. Curry’s fall caused a tailbone contusion.

After being sidelined for five games, the seven-time All-Star point guard could be on his way back to Golden State’s lineup. In a virtual press conference on Sunday, Steve Kerr told reporters Curry was a full participant at practice. Curry has been upgraded to questionable for Golden State’s contest against Chicago.

Averaging 29.0 points on 47.5% shooting from the field and 40.8% from beyond the arc, the Warriors could desperately use Curry’s offensive spark back on the floor.

Without Curry, Jordan Poole has played well in the starting lineup, averaging 20.4 points on 46.1% shooting from the field with 3.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds in five games. When Curry returns to the rotation, Poole will likely slide back to a role off the bench.

The Warriors will host the Bulls on Monday at 7 p.m. PT at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
