Washington Redskins linebacker Cassanova McKinzy has been ruled out of the rest of the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens after suffering a concussion.
Midway through the first quarter, reporters could see McKinzy headed to the locker room with the trainer, and it was announced in the second quarter that he would not return.
The injury comes at a horrible time for McKinzy, as we sits near the roster bubble and was in need of a stellar performance in order to make the team. So far this preseason, McKinzy has played well on defense, but one more solid game could have sealed his spot.
We will have to wait and see how the Redskins choose to handle this situation, as they are thin at the linebacker position.
