Injury Report: Kevon Looney (sprained ankle) set to be reevaluated on Wednesday

During a recent stretch of games, the Golden State Warriors have been without a traditional center on the depth chart. With James Wiseman out with a sprained ankle, Kevon Looney joined the rookie big on the sideline with a sprained wrist.

After missing six consecutive games, Looney could be on his way back to the court. The veteran center’s sprained ankle will be re-evaluated on Wednesday before the Warriors host the Miami Heat at Chase Center in San Francisco.

With Bam Adebayo coming to the Bay Area on Wednesday, Steve Kerr’s rotation could use Looney’s presence in the middle. Through 21 games, the former first-round pick is averaging 3.7 points on 62.3% shooting from the field with 4.1 rebounds per game.

If Looney isn’t available after his re-evaluation, the Warriors will likely stick with a small ball lineup that features Juan Toscano-Anderson alongside Draymond Green in the frontcourt.
