The Kansas City Chiefs have just two more training camp practices left before they’ll pack it in and head back to the home base.
They’re still dealing with a few injuries from the first week of preseason play, with a few players missing from practice. John Lovett was spotted in the training tent wearing a sling on his injured arm, which was a new development. The Chiefs brought in H-back Manassaeh Garner, seemingly to fill in for Lovett while he’s injured. It’s not yet clear how long Lovett’s injury will keep him out for.
D’Montre Wade is still out of practice, dealing with a knee contusion. Herb Miller is getting repetitions with the second team in Wade’s absence. At one point when Bashaud Breeland went out, Miller rotated in with the first team.
Xavier Williams was back at practice today after missing Monday with a back injury.

Clark was back at practice yesterday, but today he was feeling under the weather. So he didn’t suffer any sort of setback related to his sore wrist.
At one point during practice, CB Bashaud Breeland left the field and walked up the hill. He did return to practice shortly afterward. It probably wasn’t injury-related given that he left under his own accord. Could have been that he just needed to use the restroom.
Late in practice, the folks at Locked on Chiefs podcast spotted Deon Yelder being helped off the field. The Chiefs did not provide an injury update on Yelder following a practice.
We’ll see what happens with Yelder when the Chiefs return to practice tomorrow.
