Injury report: Daniel Theis out vs. Knicks, Tacko Fall available

Per an injury report from the Boston Celtics, third-year center Daniel Theis will be out against the New York Knicks on Saturday as he heals from a left ankle sprain that he suffered in Boston’s home opener against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. Theis initially rolled his ankle in the second quarter but returned to start the second half and finish the game.

Teammates Enes Kanter and Romeo Langford remain out with a left knee contusion and a sore right knee, respectively. However, with the Celtics getting three days of rest before their matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, both Kanter and Langford could return before Boston faces the team that dispatched them in the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

Rookie center Tacko Fall will be available, although it’s unlikely that Celtics head coach Brad Stevens will play him this early in the season.
