Injury news: James O’Shaugnessy ruled out vs. Panthers after sustaining a knee injury

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end James O’Shaugnessy has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 5’s game against the Carolina Panthers with a knee injury.   The news comes after the tight end had been establishing himself as one of the team’s top weapons.

O’Shaugnessy was in the process of advancing the ball after a catch from rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew II. Upon going down he grabbed his knee and appeared to be in a lot of pain. The trainers then came to look at him and helped him off the field, however, he wasn’t able to put pressure on his injured knee.

O’Shaugnessy exited the game with three catches for 57 yards, including a highlight reel catch where he tipped the ball to himself.
