Injury news: Jags RB Alfred Blue ruled OUT with ankle injury vs. Eagles

With Leonard Fournette sitting with over 25 others, running back Alfred Blue got to start against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2’s preseason matchup, but unfortunately it appears his night might be cut short. In the process of running the ball in the interior, the veteran had his ankle rolled up under defensive lineman Vinny Curry, who was making a tackle on him.

The veteran gingerly limped to the sideline afterward and was ruled questionable by the staff moments later. Once the second quarter hit, he was officially ruled OUT, though he was able to walk off the field under his own power.

Blue had accumulated four carries for five yards prior to the injury which was good for an average of 1.3.

With Leonard Fournette sitting out and rookie Ryquell Armstead (concussion) not suiting up, Thomas Rawls and Devante Mays will be there two options on the night to replace Blue.
