An elbow injury has forced Maryna Moroz out of her scheduled UFC 241 strawweight bout with Poliana Botelho.
MMA Junkie confirmed an initial report by MMA Fighting on Wednesday through a source with knowledge of the situation.
Botelho (8-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC), a Nova Uniao product out of Rio de Janeiro, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Lauren Mueller at UFC 236.
With two-and-a-half weeks left until the card at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., there’s no word yet on whether the UFC will try to find Botelho another opponent for the evening.
