Injured swan in Glasgow city centre as police cordon off area around bus stop

Police have cordoned off part of a street in Glasgow city centre after discovering an injured swan.

Officers were called to Jamaica Street this lunchtime after the bird was found in distress next to a bus stop.

Pictures sent to Glasgow Live show the area surrounding the bus stop blocked off by police tape and a police officer guarding the area.

It's not clear how the swan came to be injured and Glasgow Live have contacted the SSPCA, who have been called by police, for further comment.
