Injured Packers coach Matt LaFleur throws out first pitch at charity softball game

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur threw out the first pitch at Saturday’s Green and Gold Charity Softball Game despite tearing his Achilles’ tendon earlier in the week.

Kelly Price of NBC-26 provided video of LaFleur’s ceremonial toss, which he completed at Fox Cities Stadium while wearing a protective boot on his left foot. Receiver Davante Adams, one of the hosts of the event, caught the pitch.

The Packers first-year coach suffered the Achilles injury during a game of basketball at Lambeau Field on Wednesday. He is expected to have surgery to fix the issue on Sunday.

Adams and the Packers offense beat Blake Martinez and the defense in the annual softball game.
