Injured Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall issues encouraging update

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has issued an encouraging update on his fitness.

The centre-back hasn’t figured yet under new Reds boss Chris Hughton due to foot injury, which ruled him out of action for up to eight weeks.

However, Worrall has hinted he could be back in action ahead of schedule.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Worrall wrote: “Won’t be long.”

Worrall was repeatedly linked with a move to Burnley in the summer, but a switch to the Premier League failed to materialise for the Nigel Doughty Academy graduate.

When he returns to action, Worrall will be vying for a place in the side with Scott McKenna and Tobias Figueiredo, who are forming an encouraging partnership in the heart of the Reds' defence.
