Injured Joe Swash gives worrying doctor's update amid fears he'll miss Dancing On Ice final

Ill Joe Swash has given fans an update after attending a hospital appointment ahead of Sunday's Dancing On Ice final.

This comes after he was spotted hobbling in the background on the set of DOI during This Morning today amid fears he may not be able to skate on Sunday.

The 38-year-old was seen wearing a huge bandage on his head after being kicked in the ear with a skate and having an operation to drain the infection.

Speaking to Alison Hammond today at the rink, he said: "I went to the hospital to drain [my ear] and it kept filling it up!"

Thankfully, Joe suggested that they would be able to take the bandage off soon, meaning that he "should be alright".

However he did admit that his training with partner Alex had suffered and that he was struggling to do certain things.

Stacey Solomon shared a picture of Joe earlier this week (@realjoeswashy/Instagram)

"It's going ok, there's a couple of things we can't do at the moment," he explained before gesturing to the bandage and pro Alex. "She keeps saying I look like a nun!"

Earlier this week, his girlfriend Stacey Solomon was left worried after Joe was hours late from rehearsals and his phone was switched off, only to see him come home with a horrible ear infection.

Stacey shared an update on Joe's health with her fans, writing: "Joe is safe and well and still dancing, he just had some sort of ear infection and it looks to me like they're being precautious."

The huge wrap-up even forced a chuckle out of Stacey after Joe wandered in from rehearsals.
