Injured elderly woman is identified by granddaughter after public appeal

Police have confirmed that an elderly woman, who was found collapsed in the street in Mansfield, has been identified.

The woman was found with a head injury in the early hours of Thursday morning, April 11, on Samuel Brunts Way.

Following a public appeal by Nottinghamshire Police, the woman has been identified by her granddaughter.

The woman currently remains in hospital, and enquiries are ongoing as to how she suffered her injuries.

Officers added: "We’d like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."
