Injured dog rescued by Dublin Fire Brigade and DSPCA after getting trapped under Luas tram

An injured dog was being cared for yesterday evening after getting trapped under a Luas tram.

The scary incident happened just before 3pm yesterday afternoon when the dog got caught under the tram at the Fatima stop on the red line. Emergency services were called to the scene with DSPCA assisting Dublin Fire Brigade with the rescue.

Sharing a picture from the scene, Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that the dog named Billy had been seen by a vet and needed further treatment. They said: "Earlier this afternoon, Firefighters from Dolphins Barn were called to a dog who was trapped under a tram on the red line. Working with DublinSPCA the dog was freed and assessed by a vet before transport to for further treatment."
