Initial Saints injury report for Week 5 vs. Buccaneers

The New Orleans Saints host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The game will be televised at 12:00 p.m. CT on Fox.

The initial injury reports published by the Saints and the Buccaneers on Wednesday are the initial reports for the week. A second, updated report will be released on Thursday. The final injury report with game status for certain players will be issued on Friday. Daily changes in practice participation are noted in bold text.

DT Sheldon Rankins made his return on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. His practice participation will be worth keeping an eye on this week. Quarterback Drew Brees is still rehabbing his thumb injury which was sustained in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams.
