CONSULTATION events are to take place on plans for a 49.9MW solar farm in Leslie.
TagEnergy want to create the facility on land north of Pitkevy Farm and a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has now been accepted by Fife Council.
The development would include the construction of ground mounted solar array and associated infrastructure including site access, parking, substation, welfare buildings, inverters/transformers, gates and fencing, CCTV, landscaping, grid connection cable and other works.
Drop in sessions for the public have been organised as part of the application which will be held on June 24 and September 23 at the Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel between 3pm and 7pm on both day.
Following the acceptance of the PAN, a formal planning application can not be submitted for 12 weeks.
This means a formal submission cannot be made to the council before October 26.
A planning statement on behalf of the applicant said the solar farm would make its connection to Scottish Power’s Energy Network (SPEN) at TagEnergy’s Pitkevy Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) which is approximately 500m to the south
