If you've been dreaming of heading abroad on a summer holiday but you're not quite ready to book for summer 2021, the good news is that you don't need to miss out on this year's deals!
In fact, holiday firm Inghams has frozen its prices - meaning you can currently bag summer holidays in 2022 at this year's rates.
That includes heaps of tempting destinations such as Iceland, Italy, Norway, Austria and France. When we took a look we could find three-night breaks from £336pp which included the school holiday dates in August.
The offer is available for holidays next year but you'll need to book by April 30 on inghams.co.uk to make use of it. It's worth noting that the deal is open to not only new bookings, but those who already have a summer 2021 holiday booked and want to move it to next year.
The company has already been offering the price freeze deal but decided to extend it after seeing that the majority of its summer 2021 bookings were planned post July 1, with half from August 1 onwards.
Joe Ponte, Inghams' CEO, said that the brand was also seeing strong booking numbers for summer 2022, and high rebooking rates for those who originally had bookings for early summer 2021.
He explained: "So, we think it’s likely that many people are responding to the government’s ongoing updates, by planning ahead and booking flexible holidays for later this summer—or for now, securing holidays for next year instead, until they have more information on the easing of summer 2021’s travel restrictions."
Inghams has also introduced an In Safe Hands policy amidst the uncertainty which includes refunds if a holiday is cancelled and free amends.
At the time of writing, foreign travel for non-essential reasons continues to be banned for Brits. The earliest travel could resume is May 17 - and when it does, it will be under a traffic light system with countries placed on green, amber or red lists that determine quarantine and testing requirements when you return to the UK.
It's not yet known which destinations will feature on the green list, the most appealing for holidaymakers as it requires no quarantine, although there are already some strong contenders.
