Ingeniously named Irish racehorse Mine Me Will He is leaving commentators red-faced

There's been so much to despair about in 2020 that you need to have a laugh - even if it's really schoolboy stuff!

This may have been the motive of owner and breeder S J Osbourne whose horse 'Mine Me Will He' ran at Naas today.

Trying to slip innuendos and obscenities past the horse racing authorities is a very difficult game and has a long history.

Arfur Foulkesaycke, Ben Timover, Ivanna Humpalot and Are Soles To You have all been caught before they made it to the track.

You need to think outside the box to get past the fun-killing authorities. Horses like Two In The Pink, Hoof Hearted and Geespot have made it through the net.

And Irish commentator Jerry Hannon must have been hard pressed to keep a straight face when he had to call out 'Mine Me Will He' today. We hope we won't have to spell out the connotation!

Unfortunately, the best thing about Mine Me Will He may be his name as the six-year-old has been abysmal on his four runs on the track to date.

For those needing a chuckle, watch the replay of today's race here and skip forward to 1:24.
