In unprecedented times, we turn to data to shape our understanding of a situation, as well as informing the decisions we take next. As our national dialogue increasingly relies on the power of data visualisation to tell critical stories that shed light on everything from the curve of a pandemic to trends in voting habits, accuracy – as much as aesthetics – is vital.
In this interactive online masterclass with data visualisation experts Adam Frost and Tobias Sturt, you will be shown how to select data that frames your storytelling in a way that is both informative and beautiful. You will also learn how to construct a clear narrative for your dataset, and the practical techniques you can use to turn raw data into striking visual infographics.
This highly practical course covers the essentials of data visualisation and is suitable for anyone with an interest in using data to tell compelling stories. It is not a beginner course, but you do not need to have advanced knowledge.
Please note that this course will be hosted online. Places are extremely limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
