Infinite Sky was both breathtaking and heartbreaking. It was by far one of most moving books I've ever read. The story is about Iris. Iris narrates the story at thirteen, and her story begins at a funeral of someone she loves. Over one long summer, we find out just how three lives were turned upside-down - one in which her mum leaves home, her dad is left to cope, travellers set up camp in the family's field, her older brother is lost and headed for trouble, and she falls in love for the first time.
The story had unexpected twists and magical moments allowing me to explore all sorts of new emotions while Iris struggles to find where her loyalties lie when everyone around her tells her she's wrong. The stories ending is one that is quite unusual as the first chapter repeats itself allowing the reader to relive the moment with this young girl.
Overall, I think this book was unimaginably tragic and magical. By far one of my best reads and would rate it 10/10 as it was perfect. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading tragic but thrilling novels which make you cry and smile whilst reading.
