'Inevitable' - Manchester United fans have new Jadon Sancho transfer theory

Manchester United fans have not yet given up hope of Jadon Sancho moving to Old Trafford before Monday's transfer deadline.

The Borussia Dortmund star has been at the centre of this summer's biggest story, with United keen to bring the 20-year-old back to England.

However Dortmund insist Sancho will not be sold in this window, which closes at 11pm on Monday.

United appear unwilling to meet the German club's €120million asking price for the England international.

But could there yet be another late twist in the saga?

Sancho did not feature in Wednesday's Super Cup defeat to Bayern Munich and Dortmund said the winger was suffering from a "respiratory infection".

Today Sancho is absent once again for Bundesliga clash with Freiburg.

This has prompted more speculation among United fans on social media, with Dortmund responding from their official Twitter account to say: "As in Munich, Jadon Sancho and Roman Bürki are still sidelined with respiratory infections."

Here's what some United supporters had to say about the latest development on Twitter...

@Ralph_Solitario : #FreeSancho

@NaidooSachin : So there is hope.

@ShivamMehta013 : Don't give me hope...

@UtdHamza_ : Get well soon Sancho. Hopefully one day we can cure you of your misery at Dortmund.

@xfplmaestrox : Where's Sancho lads? He's about to sign for Manchester United.

@GlitchBoyJ : #JS7 is inevitable.

@wbrown_789 : Please Dortmund. Just let us have Sancho!

@ara_27th_7 : No Sancho! Are you thinking what I’m thinking? It’s happening...

@SportsWithJoel : Nahhhh don’t do this to me.

@Mhamad_sharief : FREE SANCHO.

@curtlynedd : Welcome to Man Utd Sancho!!
