INEOS has issued an apology to residents in Grangemouth over "noticeable spells of flaring".
Bosses at the petrochemical plant say it's due to an issue at one of their manufacturing sites.
In a statement, they added that everything is being done to reduce noise.
A spokesperson added: "Local residents and those in the vicinity of the INEOS Grangemouth site may notice spells of flaring from the south of the facility.
"We are working to resolve an issue on one of our manufacturing plants.
"In the meantime, we will make every effort to reduce the level of duration of the flaring and apologise for an inconvenience.
"We remain committed to informing you of an activities that may result in flaring."
