Industrial units cleared for take-off at Doncaster Sheffield Airport

The go-ahead has been given for more than 100,000 sq ft of industrial space to be created at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Detailed planning consent has been granted for the two-unit scheme.

Birmingham-based Trebor Developments and international real estate partner, Hillwood, agreed terms with Peel Investments to acquire the site earlier this year, and work will start on site in November for delivery in the second quarter of 2020.

The Avion at Aero Centre provides mid-size industrial units described as suitable for manufacturing or distribution, located adjacent to one of the fastest growing UK airports with excellent traffic links to the M18, A1, M62 and M1, it is seen as providing outstanding transportation possibilities.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor, said: “This is another detailed consent allowing us to deliver quality, cost-effective accommodation to the Yorkshire market. We will shortly be on site delivering these excellent units, which we believe will be attractive to a range of occupiers. We will be delivering in excess of 600,000 sq ft of industrial speculative accommodation in Yorkshire over the next 12 months, with potential for this to expand much further as new sites come forward.”

The units are 45,876 sq ft and 59,159 sq ft respectively.

This is the second detailed planning consent under consideration by Trebor in Doncaster, with Gateway 4, at 409,000 sq ft, having been submitted to the same planning authority.

Trebor and Hillwood are represented by CPP and Knight Frank.
