INDORE: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya's (DAVV) new admission schedule has been derailed owing to the second phase of Common Entrance Test (CET).
"DAVV's schedule for results and counselling is likely to be delayed by at least a week depending upon date of second entrance test as we have decided to declare the results of both the phases together," DAVV CET committee coordinator Dr KL Ahuja told TOI.
Result of the computer-based entrance test was scheduled to be declared on September 12 followed by counselling from September 16. Considering that DAVV will be declaring results of both the phases together. It will take a span of around 10 days for the results to be declared from the date of second phase CET. Even after the results are declared it will take another three to four days to begin with the counselling.
New academic session for non-CET courses will begin from second week of September as per the schedule, while the session for CET courses was to begin by the first week of October. But it will be delayed further.
Out of 15,726 registered candidates, 10,500 are of Indore. Owing to physical distancing norm, despite 16 exam centres in Indore around 6500 had got exam centres in different district of Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal. Of 6500 candidates, 27 per cent had applied for the change of exam centre.
The first phase of CET for the 41 self-finance courses of 16 university teaching departments (UTD) will be conducted on Tuesday in two shifts.
