Indore reports 24 new dengue cases in a day

INDORE: The district reported 24 new cases of dengue on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 513. Of them, 18 were men and six women, including seven children. The cases reported a re-surge as reports were released after a gap of two days.

District malaria officer Daulat Patel said, “The district reported 24 cases due to more sampling and tracing of areas and people. There are 14 teams employed in the field for survey and fogging to prevent the spike. In the day, the teams surveyed many areas for larva, he added.

The new cases were reported from Silicon City, Rambagh, Clerk Colony, Nipania, Khajrana, Manik Bagh, Atal Khel Maidan, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Nehru Park, Pardeshipura and Khatiwala Tank.

The district has been reporting an increase in dengue cases since August 1. Of the total cases 513 cases, 298 are men and 215 women, including 111 children aged less than 15 years.
