A 23-year-old man drowned trying to save a seven-year-old boy from the swollen Chandan Nagar Nullah. The child survived but his saviour did not.
Indore had received 108.9mm rainfall in 24 hours by Wednesday morning — the highest this season — and by 8.30pm, another 19.6mm rainfall was recorded. Civic workers are on high alert as parts of western Indore went waist-deep under.
