Indore: Dengue spread slowed with only 8 Covid cases in the last week

INDORE: Spread of dengue has slowed in the district with only eight dengue cases were reported in the last one week, taking the tally to 45.

In the first 13 days of this month, the district has reported 26 dengue cases, showed records of district malaria office.

District malaria officer Daulat Patel said, “There has been an increase in dengue cases in August because of rains, temperature and other factors helping it.”

But, the spread in the third week has slowed in comparison to the first two weeks, said Patel. All the cases are reported in out-patient department of hospitals and not admitted to hospitals showing less severity and stable conditions, said Patel.

The records showed that all the cases were reported from different areas with only Kushwaha Nagar area reported two cases. The demographics of dengue infections showed only six cases were reported in children below the age of 15 years of age. The district, this year, reported only one death due to dengue.
