INDORE: Less than 40% candidates have registered for the conventional mode of counselling at the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya’s Common Entrance Test (CET).
The registration window was closed on October 5 midnight and counselling for the NRI candidates will begin from Thursday.
As many as 5,247 candidates have registered for the counselling. Of them, 2,418 candidates have registered for counselling of Group A, 1,899 for Group B and 930 Group C.
“As counselling will be conducted at two venues on the Khandwa Road campus, in a meeting, it was decided to hold counselling in small slots to avoid crowding,” DAVV media spokesperson Dr Chandan Gupta told TOI. “There are only two candidates who have registered for counselling under the NRI quota. They will undergo counselling on Thursday”, he added.
Counselling for the remaining candidates will begin from Friday. On first day, counselling will take place for reserved categories. It will be followed by unreserved category from October 9 to 12.
