Indoor and marching music comp

The Music & Marching Arts International Association is accepting applications for its Music & Marching Arts International 2019 competition until May 31.

Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture's Department of Cultural Promotion, the contest is open to school and community youth bands of various sizes, each comprising young musicians from elementary to high school.

There are two categories: indoor show band and marching parade. This year expects to attract at least 40 bands from schools nationwide. The marching parade category will take place at Indoor Stadium Hua Mak, Ramkhamhaeng Road, on June 29 and 30 and the indoor show band category will be held in the Main Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on July 16 and 17.

The national competition is part of the country's preparations for the official hosting of WAMSB World Championship 2020, the world championships for marching show bands, which will take place in Bangkok in July next year.
