Indonesia reports 1,591 new coronavirus infections, 54 new deaths

Indonesia reported 1,591 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total count to 78,572, Health Ministry official Achmad Yurianto told a televised news briefing.

Fatalities from the COVID-19 rose by 54 on Tuesday, he said, bringing the total in the Southeast Asian nation to 3,710, the highest in East Asia outside China.
