Indiscreet Dublin drug dealer nabbed with cocaine after fed-up residents call gardai

A indiscreet drug dealer was caught red-handed in west Dublin yesterday after fed-up residents complained to gardai.

The pusher had allegedly been operating in the Mulhuddart area of Dublin 15 in full view of local homeowners.

After they voiced their concern to gardai, a surveillance operation was set up, leading to the man being nabbed in possession of two bags of cocaine.

The man was arrested on the sport, and a follow-up search of a property in nearby Blanchardstown turned up several bags of cannabis, which they estimate has a street value of €1,000.

Gardai said this morning: "As a result of a number of complaints from residents in the Mulhuddart/Blakestown area of Dublin 15, in respect of open drug dealing a surveillance operation was conducted in the area by members of Operation Runoff and K District Community Action team, Blanchardstown.

"A male was observed dealing drugs. He was stopped and found in possession of two bags of cocaine. He was arrested for Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977.

"A follow-up search was conducted at an address in the Sheepmoor area and another €1,000 of herbal cannabis was located."
