The Indians will be rocking a new alternate uniform at Progressive Field this season.
The club on Monday announced a new, red alternate home jersey, as well as minor changes to the other three options. These are the first changes with Chief Wahoo no longer a part of the uniforms or hats.
The new alternate has a red base color _ the first time since 1970 it's been used as an official jersey color _ with the script "Indians" written across the chest in navy blue. This uniform joins the white home jerseys with script "Indians" in red and the two road uniforms, gray and navy blue, with "Cleveland" in block letters emblazoned on the front. The navy blue uniforms will only be worn on the road. The new, red alternate at home also features a navy blue hat with a red bill and red block C on the front.
The uniforms will also feature the 2019 All-Star Game guitar logo on the sleeve _ as well as the side of each hat _ in anticipation of Cleveland hosting this year's Midsummer Classic.
