Mother Nature usually wreaks some havoc with the Indians schedule in April. And, she has decided there won't be baseball on Friday night in Cleveland.
The Indians' game with the Atlanta Braves has been postponed because of inclement weather. Rain was expected into the early morning, leaving little hope to get the game in Friday.
The Indians and Braves will instead play a traditional doubleheader starting at 4:10 p.m. Saturday. Gates will open at 3 p.m. The second game will start approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
Both teams will be able to carry a 26th man for the day. Corey Kluber will start the first game for the Indians and Trevor Bauer will take the mound for the second game. The Braves are still expected to start Touki Toussaint and Julio Teheran, but the order has yet to be announced.
Fans who have tickets to the originally scheduled April 20 game can attend both games. Fans who had tickets to Friday night's game can exchange them through indians.com for Saturday's doubleheader, Sunday's game at 7:05 p.m. (ESPN Sunday Night Baseball) or the home games against the Cincinnati Reds on June 11 or against the Kansas City Royals on June 25.
All tickets must be exchanged by April 22. Season ticket holders can exchange tickets for any game available through the exchange program.
