Indians ace Shane Bieber, the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti.
Bieber is currently going through the league's health and safety protocols in order to return. Antonetti, speaking on a Zoom call Thursday, declined to go into detail but said the Indians are hopeful that Bieber could join the team at their facility in Goodyear, Ariz., within the next few days.
