Indiana Jones movie: Filming to take place in Glasgow city centre next month

Batman himself was seen scooting about in Glasgow during filming of the new Robert Pattinson blockbuster up at the Necropolis in February last year.

And it seems we'll soon get the chance to see another cinematic legend in action with filming for the new Indiana Jones movie set to take place in the city next month.

Yesterday we revealed how film crews were spotted on the banks of Loch Lomond near to Luss as scenes for Indiana Jones 5 are being shot across Scotland in the Borders and the Highlands.

The scenes in the Highlands saw cameras capture a high-speed chase with two stunt performers racing through the famous valley in front of the stunning backdrop of the Buachaille Etive Mor on black World War Two era motorbikes.

And now a source has told Glasgow Live that filming will take place in Glasgow city centre in July.

That means we could well be treated to the awesome sight of legendary Hollywood actor Harrison Ford on a city street while suited and booted as the American archaeologist and adventurer.

And if we are lucky we might get to spot co-stars Mads Mikkelsen and Phoebe Waller-Bridge into the bargain!

One thing's for sure, when the Indiana Jones calvary does roll into town we'll let you know!
