Indiana Jones movie: Film crews spotted at Loch Lomond as blockbuster shoots across Scotland

Movie fans across Scotland have every reason to get excited with filming for the new Indiana Jones flick taking place in both the Borders and at Glencoe recently.

The scenes in the Highlands saw cameras capture a high-speed chase with two stunt performers racing through the famous valley in front of the stunning backdrop of the Buachaille Etive Mor on black World War Two era motorbikes.

Now it seems that the untitled fifth movie is filming not too far away from Glasgow, meaning that some of us might be lucky enough to spot Harrison Ford (reprising his role as the the American archaeologist and adventurer) donning the famous costume.

That's after one person spotted a hive of activity on the banks of Loch Lomond just south of Luss on the A82 in the small hamlet of Aldochlay.

They tweeted: "Lots of security, blacked out luxury minibuses and film crews etc at Aldochlay, Luss tonight, meaning no swim", alongside photographs showing the extent of the set up in place next to the loch.

Failing that, it could be crews setting up to the film the new Disney movie that's set to begin shooting next month.

As we reported back in May, a casting company put out a call for extras for the 'major new Disney feature' that will be filming 'near' Glasgow soon.

Whatever it is, we can bet the appearance of Loch Lomond on the big screen will be a magical sight!
