Indiana Jones in Glasgow: Boyd Holbrook wanders through city centre after day of filming

One of the stars of Indiana Jones 5 spent Thursday evening unwinding by exploring Glasgow after a busy day of filming.

Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook last night shared video on his Instagram of him touring our beautiful city, which showed him outside Queen Street Station and in George Square.

Holbrook is one of a number of stars in Glasgow this week for the blockbuster filming, alongside the likes of Phoebe Waller Bridge - who was seen enjoying a drink in Ashton Lane last night - and Mads Mikkelsen.

Although a Harrison Ford double has been spotted on set, the star man himself is yet to make an appearance in the city. Meanwhile, rumours circulating online today in the US suggest Antonio Banderas could also be joining up with the cast in Glasgow.

The movie's director James Mangold - who also directed The Greatest Showman, Le Mans '66 and Logan, which featured Holbrook - has also been pictured in Glasgow on set alongside other crew members this week.

And several streets have been transformed into the United States for the fifth movie in the franchise.

The city's St Vincent Street was adorned in the stars and stripes for the parade scene, which featured pipers playing Scotland The Brave and a brass band behind.

The body double for Ford rode on horseback along past the parade, with the Holbrook double behind on a vintage motorbike.

One float involved in the parade featured the words "Apollo 11", with other references to the astronauts suggesting the film could be set in 1969.

A number of takes were shot on Thursday morning after rehearsals for the parade took place earlier this week at a car park in Govan, near Ibrox Stadium.

Parts of the city centre will closed on various days until July 31 for filming, with the "prohibition of pedestrian movements during 'action"' in some cases.
