Indiana Jones Glasgow: The secret 'wink' to Glasgow found within the film set

Last year we had our minds well and truly blown when we discovered that hit Will Ferrell Netflix movie Eurovision contained a hidden 'easter egg' after having filmed in the city.

An eagle-eyed Spanish movie fan spotted the fact that a busker in the movie was dressed exactly the same as Smug's St Mungo in the mural on High Street in Glasgow - sporting a beard and wearing a maroon tammy, green jacket and dark hoodie.

Having cast our minds back to that, we were wondering whether Indiana Jones might do the same given the fact that scenes for the blockbuster have seen our city transformed into 1960's New York.

And while people have already pointed to the fact that a pipe band were heard playing 'Scotland The Brave' in a huge parade scene filmed on St Vincent Street - which included a thrilling chase sequence involving Harrison Ford's double on a horse - we think we've spotted a more direct Glasgow 'wink'.

That's because among plethora of vintage shop front designs that have been put over existing shops fronts in the city centre to give the authentic Manhattan feel is a laundrette bearing the name 'Kelvin's Koin Laundrette'.

Could it be a wee nod to the River Kelvin? Quite possibly we think!

The laundrette is located on Renfield Street, which includes the stunning set addition of a fake New York Subway entrance - leading Glaswegians to joke that it took none other than Indiana Jones to give us our first new subway station in 125 years.
