Indiana Jones Glasgow: Boyd Holbrook makes appearance at popular city centre cafe Kcal Kitchen

Indiana Jones actor Boyd Holbrook is the latest celebrity to rock up at Glasgow cafe Kcal Kitchen.

Last month we reported on Outlander star Sam Heughan paying a visit to the popular city centre food spot for some 'guilt-free' scran.

And this weekend, fresh from filming scenes on the yet-to-be-titled Indiana Jones blockbuster, Boyd Holbrook made an appearance at the West Regent Street eatery.

The team posted a photo the 39-year-old American meeting a member of staff at the cafe on Saturday and commented: "Look who was in the building!

"Boyd Holbrook enjoying some guilt free healthy food!

"Thanks for stopping by Boyd.

"We can’t wait to see you in the new Indiana Jones film."

Filming for the fifth instalment of the adventure series has shut down parts of the city centre in recent weeks, transforming buildings and businesses into Manhattan of the late 1960s and mimicking a parade for the returning Apollo 11 astronauts.

Glaswegians have gathered to watch the cameras rolling in the heart of the city with St Vincent Street closed off to traffic to facilitate the filming, while a row of shops on Parnie Street in Trongate was also given the full makeover treatment.

Alongside Boyd Holbrook, Phoebe Waller Bridge has been spotted in our city, however - as of yet - there's been no sighting of Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford, despite appearances from his body and stunt double.

The film also features Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Shaunette Renee Wilson and Toby Jones.

Parts of the city centre will remain closed on various days until July 31 for filming, with the "prohibition of pedestrian movements during 'action"' in some cases.

A list of street closures and timings can be found on the Glasgow City Council website: https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/article/19741/Event-Road-Restrictions.
