Indiana Jones filming in Glasgow as buildings decked out in American flags

Glasgow is a very multi-cultural city, but like the best of them she has chameleonic tendencies making her perfect for filming big blockbusters.

We've had Under the Skin with Scarlett Johansson and Robert Pattinson scuttling around the Necropolis for the latest Batman installment.

And, it looks like a new blockbuster is about to arrive in town.

We've previously reported how the likes of Harrison Ford, Mads Mikkelsen and Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be gracing our great city with their presence as they film a the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones movie.

Film crews were spotted on the banks of Loch Lomond near to Luss as scenes are being shot across Scotland in the Borders and the Highlands.

The scenes in the Highlands saw cameras capture a high-speed chase with two stunt performers racing through the famous valley in front of the stunning backdrop of the Buachaille Etive Mor on black World War Two era motorbikes.

And it appears the cast are edging closer to the city centre, with buildings being transformed to resemble more their US counterparts.

What could be more American than...Glasgow? (CJ)

Huge American flags have been erected onto iconic buildings around the city centre, and smaller flags can also be spotted.

The Bank of Scotland building on St Vincent Street, the side of the City Chambers and even parts of Renfield Street are adorned with red white and blue stars.
